Senior Software Developer - FutuCare Continuous Services team - Tampere

About the role

What is FutuCare, one might wonder? It’s Futurice's model for ensuring continuity, support, and continuous feature development of in-production systems. It offers a 360 view of projects, technologies, and architectural solutions developed by Futurice’s highly skilled teams in recent years. With a team of over 40 experts, the FutuCare team provides high-quality, continuous services to our clients, far above and beyond traditional reactive software maintenance.

FutuCare is organized into multiple DevOps teams. Each team is responsible for a dedicated set of projects/accounts, for which they do continuous development, ensuring reliably running services and continuous development. As a part of our team, you are able to learn new technologies and gain experience in different environments to widen your tech toolbox, learn the best practices, and ways of working. Furthermore, you will gain understanding of various client organizations, their businesses, needs, & ways of working, to become a trusted advisor towards the clients.

Along with development work, you might take part in developing FutuCare’s Ways of Working and processes to iterate the developer experience together with the team. Depending on your background you have also possibilities to focus on e.g. on cloud development/architecture activities or project management/team lead type of role. If you are into coaching and mentoring, it can be part of your daily work and with our high variety of projects and tech stacks we work with, this is an opportunity to keep the stack up to date and maybe learn new ones if you are up for change on that side.

Along with development work, you might take part in developing FutuCare’s Ways of Working and processes to iterate the developer experience together with the team. Depending on your background, you also have the possibility to focus on, e.g., cloud development/architecture activities or a project management/team lead type of role. The recipe for success

We are looking for individuals who are eager to challenge themselves, learn, grow, and share best practices. In more detail, we hope you will:

  • Define yourself as a full-stack developer with at least a few years of professional experience in developer tasks.
  • Understand that the tech stack itself can vary, since we work with multiple modern stacks.
  • Possess a continuous service mindset and the ability to think of the service's lifetime value. Your goal is to find the best solutions for the projects and create value for the client.
  • Value and practice good communication - you should be fluent in at least English and Finnish.
  • Have DevOps and/or cloud development experience, which is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • A proactive attitude, which will take you far!

Compensation

Your complete compensation package will be discussed in detail during the recruitment process. Our salary model is designed to offer a range of levels based on three factors: skills, responsibilities and impact. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where every employee has the opportunity to thrive and advance in their career and become better versions of themselves.

During the initial interview round, we will discuss the salary range for this position. We offer a fixed salary with the possibility of performance-based bonuses and additional benefits.
